I put 5100’s on my ‘18 4Runner and it was a massive improvement firming up the horrible body roll from the factory.
Reviews of spare parts for Toyota 4runner
I switched out to some medium Old Man Emus on my 2014 Limited after the stock XREAS system started leaking at 120k. Rides great and the slight lift allows me to get onto some steeper trails without worrying about pulling my front bumper off.
I replaced my Limited’s stock suspension with Bilstein 5100’s at 65k myself...the truck rides great on and off road now, literally no downsides.
Denso starter in my Toyota 4runner lasts like 15 years / 150k+ miles before needing a rebuild and can take it out easily.
I replaced mine around 55k miles. You’ll be so much happier starting fresh, no shuddering, better braking power.
'07 V6 SR5 I replaced my leaking rad with a Denso four years ago and it's been absolutely rock solid. **NOTE** I'm not sure if this is still the case but some Denso rads have a couple little notches cut into the sides which are sometimes mistaken for damage as they are not neatly done (literally looks like someone just tapped it with a grinder). These notches are to allow the rad to expand a bit when the metal heats. They are necessary and part of the design even though they sure *look* like damage.
I have a denso radiator on my 03 4th gen. I changed my radiator for a denso one after it started leaking 5 years ago. It's been over 50k miles and it's going strong.
Replaced the heads and head gaskets, exhaust manifolds, timing belt water pump thermostat radiator fuel injectors spark plugs and wires and distributor cap and rotor but the new rotor broke and i put my old one back on.
I went with Cardone HD CV's, one tore a boot in the first year, so I replaced it with the same. Now the other one has a torn boot. I have about a 1 inch lift, so the CV's arent at an extreme angle. Just not sure why this keeps happening.
555 lasted less that 40k on a street rig... Completely sloppy and loose. These were actually AC Delco Branded, but stamped 555 on the other side. They look exactly like other 555 ball joints I have seen.
