Denso Alternator

I have a 2005 XLS and upgraded to the 130a one, no issues at all. I bought a Denso (oem) one on rockauto for $170, sent my old one and got $40 back. The Toyota one (also denso) was like $450. The 130a was actually cheaper than the 100a too. Did it myself in about 3 hours

Pros: no issues, cheaper than OEM
Vehicle: Toyota

MICHELIN Tires

Mainer with a 200 here. I actually run Michelin Defender LTX M/S2s on mine year round. M/S = mud & snow.\n\nThey\u2019ve performed really admirably for me in pretty brutal winter conditions we get up here.

Pros: admirable winter performance

OEM Toyota CVT transmission
Aaayron
Rating 3.5
  • Smoothness:

Last yr I bought my 1st car, a 2012 Toyota Corolla Altis. 2.0v variant, so it has a K111 CVT in it. Thankfully barely used by the 1st owner, only 43k km on the dash when I got it, confirmed legit by mechanics and dealership service history.

Now it's at 51k km, basically my daily and only car. Had a trans fluid change done last December, then planning a 2nd one next month to slowly flush out the old fluid.

Aside from underchassis issues, it's been driving ok honestly. I hope it stays this way for a long time.

Pros: driving ok
Vehicle: Toyota Corolla
Mileage: 51000 km
Part number: K111

OEM Toyota Cylinder head

I recently purchased a 2022 Tacoma and when I left for work the next morning the dreaded P11EC code came on. Lucky for me the truck had 59,450 miles so it was still inside its powertrain warranty and it’s being repaired by Toyota right now. I’ve had the loaner longer than I’ve had possession of my “new” truck.

Pros: repaired under warranty
Cons: part failure, long repair time
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 59450 km
