The VW accessory sun shade for the Golf Mk7 (what VW calls a sunshield) is part # 5GM-064-366. I've used one for years and it works well.
Reviews of spare parts for Volkswagen
I ordered Centric blanks and powerstop z23 pads off of Rockauto after doing a lot of research. Have had them on my 2016 GTI for 6 months or so. No regrets, they're great. AND super cheap.
May have been overkill but it worked a charm. (ebc yellow stuff, dot5.1, high carbon rotors)
I've got the Generals on my Jetta GLI. I had higher performance tires but kept getting bubbles on the awful New England roads. I'm pretty happy with them. You definitely give up a little bit of grip/road feel on dry roads but they're comfortable for daily driving and the value factor is nice. If you're looking for something that's going to suit you on a day-to-day or commuter type basis I'd recommend them.
Go with whatever is easy for you to source and also meets the VW502.00 standard. I personally run Mobil 1 0w-40 or Liquimoly 5w-40, whichever I can get cheaper.
For the gti the firestone Indy firehawk 500’s are great tire for not super expensive. Just as good as my continental
My 2014 jetta TDI does the exact same thing as in your video when the battery is dying. I've had the car now for 6 years and it's happened 3 times. If the alternator checks out fine, then I would attempt a new battery.
Yup. My front were grooved, rears were "diagnosed" as warped by VW techs. 12k miles. New pads and rotors has 7000 miles, haven't noticed anything yet.
Gonna say running north of 100mph on mismatched budget sub-brand bridgestones is adding a margin of error where you cant really afford one.
Don't risk it. 260kmph is already over the tires limits of 239kmph.
