I use the blue bottle 5w-40 on my 2.5 Mk5 Rabbit.
Runs quieter than when i used Castrol High Mileage.

I am not sure if you can and have a place to do it on your own but I bought oil vacuum pump couple years ago and changing oils myself since then. I have a Volkswagen and oil filter easily accessible from the top.
We used to put Bosch W7DTC spark plugs in them. No gapping required, smoother idle, and they last 60k miles, maybe more.
Front strut mounts: at 8947 miles. Only happened after warm up. Covered under warranty has not happened since.
The automatic 8-speed is an Aisin transmission (Toyota), and coming from a manual, I didn’t think I would like it - but it’s good and I do.
No experience with studded tires but I had Dunlop Winter Sport snow tires on my VW GTI VR6 and it was ridiculous. I was able to do the speed limit when I should have been going half that or less, lol.
Water pump was also renewed within a year, metal impeller, INA brand.
I had the AS3+ on my MK7 and loved them. Car handled like it was on rails. The snow performance was not amazing. I just replaced them with the new AS4 and the turn in and handling doesn’t feel as crisp. It’s more mushy than the old version.
2012 Golf R (FSI) and just recently had a Mishimoto radiator installed. Car behaves normally on the road but the first track event after having it installed it got very warm (about halfway between normal and red zone on factory gauge) and actually spit out some coolant under the hood I found once back in the paddock. Shop has checked everything out, re-bled the system and found no air but does start to get hot under sustained boost. Funny thing is I track the car heavily and never had this issue on the OEM radiator, also the water pump was recently changed with timing service and has less than 1000 miles on it.
I was fairly unimpressed that the brand new rotors out of the box have some surface rust. I suspect these have been on a shelf for a long time.
