i got an alt pulley off an 82 rabbit vert with A/C... it's longer, sticks out more. i put the 82 vert pulley on my 89 alt, it lines up with the pulley on the crank, the water pump pulley and the P/S pulley.
I used Duplicolor Caliper paint. Follow the instructions. There is more info online about painting calipers than I wanted to read. But I did read a lot of it.

That's why I got one for my '66 Beetle (12 volt conversion) It won't rust out the now repaired battery tray! Also, you don't want to put a super-hyper battery charger on them. They tend to like being charged on the slow side.
Mine popped up with the NGK's all i did is tighten the spark plug a little more and it stopped.
The vanagon square lights are awful.
