I just got these new Hella Celis Golf Mk3 Headlights. I just pulled them apart tonight to show you Tex'ers the guts. Best quality, fit and finish compared to other Angel Eye applications.
I have a 2001 GLX 4 Motion with 50K, and so far haven't had any major repairs, replaced a switch in the dash and the front and rear brake pads.
My 1989 Scirocco GT had exactly the same problem. It's the Pierburg carb that is giving you grief. In fact my Mk2 Jetta did the same. Get a replacement Weber fitted and the fault will be cured. I did this to my GT and the performance was amazing. As a bonus the fuel economy was noticably improved.
If you adjust the regulator spring too tight, or you lower the car without releasing the additional tension that put on the regulator spring, the rear wheels will lock up. If you have it adjusted really close to the limit for your rear wheels (for optimum braking) and you upgrade the rear pads to Ferodo DS2500 and keep the Mintex Red Box pads on the front axle, you might also get rear wheel lockup because the total braking force at the rear wheels increases by 50% or so with that pad upgrade, and the front doesn't get a similar increase in grip.
put in some good fluid, motul is awesome stuff but valvoline makes a descent brake fluid too.
Bosio PP520's from Kerma, with the requisite red 'I' front and back! ... should be standard equipment on this car.
The water pump I bought from ecstuning, http://www.ecstuning.com/stage...6+12v It is BERU.
The ones I had on my Jetta without fogs were just fine for the price I paid ....
I have difficulty seeing through my windsheild when heavy rain is hitting the car while driving. The wipers do no not clear the water fast enough and there seems to be some sort of film that clouds up the glass.
