Not in my experience. I run 32/32 and my tires now have 35k on them, and are good for another 5k or so more no problemo. Wear is about as even as I've ever seen for a tire this far into its useful life. I messed around with a lot of different pressures before settling on this combo, and it's what works best for me.. and definitely no adverse wear issues.

Ok guys- I don't have much time, so I will cover the major issues for doing the install. The major issue is that you cannot reuse the stock MK4 balljoint. You must modify the TT balljoint to fit the GTI LCA. It takes a fair amount of grinding, drilling and fitting to make it fit as you can see in the pic. Not for the average DIYer.
The Hella e-codes are awesome; the beam pattern is much better than stock. Get a set of Philips VisionPlus bulbs to go with the e-codes and with proper alignment, your setup will rival that of OEM HIDs.
Mine is \"Sekurit\" as well, and it's got \"Saint Gobain\" in smaller typeset under that. The rear window is the same on mine.
I used Neuspeed SofSport springs on the front with Bilstein HD struts. The drop is minor and ride quality is good for daily driving.
when i bought my jetta, it had 78k miles, i made the switch to synthetic and runs alot smoother...its liking it better than the dyno oil...i always use the oem filter... i ordered up one of those k&n filters to give it a try, i wanna see how it turns out
The second has Bilstein HD inserts with stock Rabbit GTI springs up front with KYB rear shocks and stock springs. I like it the best for everyday driving and it handles very nice. IMO there is no substitute for Bilstein.
I have a Fox and this is standard on mine - charges great - I have a Pioneer 50W Mosfet DEH-4800 (I think that's the model number - one of those 4000's) Oversized 6 1/2\" in the back and 3 1/2\" in front - (all Pioneer) left the damn thing on overnight accidentally - music playing low and all - tried to turn it on - didn't even hesitate - cranked right over - I would highly recommend it being Scirocco compatible (later year I'm sure it'll work) idles great, charges great, great price too
I had a major hassle the first time I changed the timing belt on my Rabbit, ended up having to replace the crankshaft pulley due to stripped hex bolts.
I have Yokohama AVSDBs they are pretty bad in the snow But fun in empty parking lots
