Installed a denso on one car and it came from California I had bad luck with 2 aftermarket units before pulling the trigger on the denso and never looked back
Pros: reliable, no issues
I had a bad coil that only misfired when the car heat soaked after a drive. If I didn't let the engine cool down a bit, it would misfire on startup. I found one of the coils had a rust spot on it, replaced it with an OEM Denso and have been running for almost 4 years with no problems.

COO was Japan on the Denso I ordered from RA. Likely the same exact thing as OE Lexus, with a different sticker.

Usually there is a part called an alternator brush which probably was worn out at that mileage. Replacing that can fix the alternator. Very few people know that. I replaced that on the denso alternator with almost 300k miles.

I've gone through three Denso alternators in the last 4 years! This last one went almost two years before going out.
Cons: alternators not lasting
I assumed my starter was going out so I replaced it with a new Denso one and it fixed the issue for maybe two weeks. After that it started to not crank first try and would take a while, now it’s almost every time I start it, it takes a while. I hear the starter spin and click every time so I assume it’s just not engaging the flywheel.
