my 1968 Falcon has the original radiator, and never overheats, even in some pretty extreme driving conditions. It has regularly done stop-and-go traffic in 90+ degree heat, as well as extremely steep and long mountain passes here in Colorado - miles and miles of full throttle. It doesn't even have a fan shroud.

I had a Ford with a bad radiator. The trans fluid mixed with the coolant. A new radiator and trans filter/fluid I was good to go.

The Ford has been really reliable, the radiator did develop a crack, but I did the ol' hillbilly tune up, fixed it with an egg, and 3 tours later, not a single issue.
