I used Meyle control arms on my B5 A4 and had no issues after replacement.
I have meyle hd’s with solid treehouse fcab’s for about 2 years ~20,000 miles on my m3 and have had no issues. Rides very smooth
I had the Meyles pressed in to the Lemforder arms and competed for the next 2 and a bit seasons without issue
I’ve had meyle hd front control arms for a few years now and they’ve been fine but my e36 is just a summer daily so I don’t push it very hard.
The Meyle HD's are a nice upgrade, since they would be less prone to tearing unlike the standard bushings... you don't feel too much difference in the steering though.
New: Meyle steering rack (manual), ignition housing, OE upper bushing/thrust ring, turn and wiper stalks. I switched the steering wheel to Rabbit specific but the noise/vibration was the same.
The New Meyle expansion tank for MKIV VW is Made in China. One of the features of this tank is that you get to spend several hours filing and sanding, to get the tank to fit. The plastic tube that anchors the tank has the correct inner thickness. But, the outer thickness is to large, .030 in. bigger. Attempting to install it this way will bend the metal anchor. Since, there is enough material, you can just file down.
In my experience (and granted it was several years ago now), those Meyle Racks are complete garbage. The first one had the gear that is turned by the end of the u-joint start to pit and deform because it was too soft and machined poorly. It only took a couple thousand miles before it was grinding and had a lot of play in it.
Meyle struts, that weren’t even connected new(you could literally disassemble the spring seat with your hands)
