I replaced my pump for another reason. A stall after a restart. When the pump was warmed up, and then shut off briefly, sometimes it would not start. So I replaced the pump. Then I developed the same problem as you. After a lot of trouble shooting, I reluctantly replaced new pump with another new pump of different brand (in the end Meyle worked). Problem solved.

And the new CV joints I have bought are the \"GKN/OEM\" for the outers and \"Meyle\" for the inners, at a price for each joint almost the same as a whole new EMPI axle.
Thanks Brian. I'm aware that a bad oil pump (or oil cooler) can produce symptoms that mimic head gasket failure.
About a year ago, I installed a complete Meyle control arm kit in my B7 A4 Avant . At the same time I installed a set of Meyle geomet coated rotors and Akebono ceramic pads on all 4 corners. The car still rides, handles and stops like new. The rotors still look new with no warping and no rust after a tough New England winter.
We've sold a lot of Meyle bushings, and I've run them on my own cars, with very good success.
Josh at GAP (GermanAutoParts.com) recommended these parts...my mechanic is semi-against aftermarket parts, especially anything not made in Germany, since the parts do not fit correctly sometimes. Josh said the HD strut mounts are made by Meyle
Mjm autohouse has some Meyle brand, Would those be good quality or should I buy some oem ones, albeit a lot more money.
From Scott at USRT: We've hit a bump in the R&D road. The latest update is that the Meyle-brand ball joints are no longer made in Germany according to T\u00dcV standards. Nope, they're now sourced from China and the metallurgy SUCKS.
I recently had to replace mine, so I unplugged the old one, plugged in the new one (Meyle brand), turned it over with a flathead screwdriver and it fired right up. So I installed it and tried again but this time had no start. Went through a lot of troubleshooting only to find out the new ignition switch was bad.
Meyle breaks. Squeaky as hell.
