Braking:

I'm running Corrado G60 11.0" front calipers and carriers, and MKIV alloy rear calipers on my 97 Jetta GT with Meyle plated rotors. The rotors are about four years old, and still look almost new. A few small rust dots are showing, but not the massive rust that you see on most two and older rotors, and virtually no wear of the friction surfaces.

Pros: look almost new, little wear

Cons: few small rust dots

Steering play:

haven't had any issues with meyle tie rods from fcp euro. going on 8k miles

Pros: no issues, lifetime warranty

Mileage: 12875 km

Stability:

I got just the upper Meyle HD control arms from FCP when I replaced my front shocks and they are good quality.

Pros: good quality

Steering play:

I like the quality and price of the Meyle tierods, and tierod ends (while they aren't the least expensive, they are much less expensive than VW/TRW replacements and the quality is excellent).

Pros: excellent quality, good price

Cons: not the least expensive

I actually have a new Meyle pump (IIRC) on my Mk2 with an ABA/16v motor, but the pumps seem very similar to the 18T pumps.

Have the same issue with the Meyle replacemants, you have to cut about 1/2 inch of the tread from each side .

You do realize that tierod length is adjustable, don't you? Did you know that there are two different racks used by VW (TRW and ZF)? Are you sure that you received the correct parts? Meyle complete tierods for TRW steering racks are $20.XX from autohaus.az (with free ground shipping on orders over $50). That's less than many companies charge for just the outer tierod. Have you read the Bentley Manual about adjusting the initial overall length of a tierod when installing new ones?

I did my brakes about a week ago and was fine since the other day...getting a high pitched woooo intermittent sound after driving a few miles some times goes away when I depress the pedal. Also chatters on little bups and pot holes a bit now too.

Cons: high pitched sound, chatters

So, I'm on my second brand new Meyle steering rack in as many years. Is there any other company (that DOESN'T make them in ****ing China) that makes new manual steering racks? I wasted $123 on this one from Autohaus AZ and Meyle I have to keep spending my hard-earned money on alignments every time i get a new one.

I bought my Meyle rotors and installed them end of September last year, about 10-11 months ago. They are completely worn out already and need to be replaced.
