I have the A3 12v plug, LED GTI tails, all my interior lights have been switched to LED including the trunk and license plate, and I just order European Golf R headlights for my GTI should look sweet once there on.

Seven years ago I rolled the dice and bought a 2010 GTI with my eyes open. After 110k miles it has been the best, most reliable car I've ever owned. It is maintained as the factory recommends, although I am proactive about replacing worn out rubber parts to try to keep the car feeling as tight as possible. The engine and transmission mounts have been swapped out and soon I'll be doing the suspension.
Sounds like coils to me. I wouldn't even mess with swapping them...I would just replace all four. You can do just 2 and 4 but then you can expect 1 and/or 3 to go soon.
The washer fluid factory fill is awesome. Nothing dissolves bug guts on glass like that stuff. My reservoir was filled with only the factory fluid all of last winter, and it never froze up or clogged. The strong alcohol smell of the factory fluid got me a breathalyzer test at a RIDE check once.
Very common swap and very well documented. We did the swap on my husband's '01 Jetta TDI and it wasn't bad at all.
Purchased a replacement exhaust manifold, mine had too many striped stud holes or my liking. Purchased from a member! Update: Picked it up today, great replacement part!
Just to update - my 2014 GLI is currently in the shop. The hissing is due to cold weather causing a seal to \"shrink\". Boost is always regained after startup, so it's not a \"safety\" issue. With that said, they've ordered the report to replace the brake boost.
Finished with timing belt... Checked and cleaned injectors wiring loom. Inspected my camshaft lobes. Camshaft need's replacement. I can see copper some places and few lobes doesn't look normal.
I saw the same thing on our car. We are right under 4K miles and it seemed very ODD to me. Also def a lot of break dust. I have to wash the car/wheels at least once a week because they start turning dark grey.
Ive noticed during the day on a lunch run, when I release the pedal to pull away from a stop sign or light, the engine judders hard and lunges me forward somewhat aggressive. I think this feature really puts a strain on the starter too.
