We haven't had any expenses other than a $20 air filter.
Owner reviews for air filter
The white filter is Mazda OEM filter, what you got from factory or from dealership... That filter works fine as it is. Do you need 3rd party filter? Well, if you constantly running in 5000-7000 RPM, 3rd party filter might allow more airflow, also potentially more debris in order to provide more airflow. More airflow means potentially more HP/Torque. For spirited driving. If you drive in normal manner and occasional spirited driving, stock airflow is enough and will provide more debris filtration (for better engine longevity).
Eu, gostaria de um filtro esportivo da K&N ou RS Air Filter...
K&N Airfilter
You can get a better that oem air filter for almost a third of the price air filter get the reusable K&N better performance youtube videos on the steps to replace (both not hard)
I hope they put a good quality air filter in the car that cleans the cabin air, and I hope it is something that can be hotswapped for the cabin filter that is already in these cars.
Cabin filter doesn't matter. Air filter needs to be mopar 53034051-AB or fleetguard AF27684.
The older mopar 68517554AA, wix 46930 and most other air filters have glue strips on them. They've been known to throw check engine lights cause of the glue strips on them.
So far, I changed spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel filter, air filter and I got a new battery.
K&n filters for low mileage things like a motorcycle, cool. For a commuter car, pain in the ass. I would much rather quickly swap a filter for a few dollars vs cleaning, drying and re-oiling every few k km.
Yeah you aren’t going to get a whole lot from a K&N ‘upgrade’ except maintenance. Use what the factory specifies.
