IMHO, Exide works well till the last second and then dies off without any symptoms. Amaron shows alot of symptoms like extra cranking and lights dim for interior and dash lights when it's nearing its demise. Hence I moved to amaron. So should you.
Owner reviews for battery
I've never had a problem with one
I had a couple of Optimas back in the early 00’s that I took from truck to truck to truck. I had a couple of them for about 10 years. they used to be nearly indestructible.
My 2007 Tahoe still had the original AC Delco battery in it when I traded it off in 2019. Still turned the engine over like new.
Just recently replaced the 9 year old AC Delco battery in my Impala when it finally went. Was working just fine, then went to start it a few days later, wouldn't crank.
My 09 yellow top just bit the dust. I was able to get it charged back above 13v but it's so old I didn't want to risk it with winter coming.
Got my yellow top in my 2000 subaru forester still going good 4 years up north where it gets cold
Battery died July 2022. So got 3 years out of it. New battery is AGM (OEM VW from dealer). Stock battery was not AGM.
I got stuck getting an optima for my truck because the one that was in it literally exploded.
Our other car, the 2016 Leaf, kinda is the embodiment of all the negative talking points you hear about, since it's an older EV: It uses an outdated & slower charging standard, has a small battery, and has significant battery degradation (29%) since Nissan decided, in their infinite wisdom, to not give the Leaf a coolant loop for the batteries. (Heat is the biggest killer for EV batteries).
