OEM Lexus Brake discs

This year I replaced front brakes and rotors on my ‘13 ES350 at 110,000 miles. Original rotors lasted 110,000 miles and I had zero issue with expecting the same performance out of OEM. Replaced with OEM brakes and rotors, operates just like new, as expected.

Pros: long lasting, good performance
Vehicle: Lexus
Mileage: 110000 km

WAGNER Brake discs

“Wagner E coated rotors have a nice coating on all non braking surfaces that prevent them from rusting. They’re a bit more expensive but it’s worth it if you want to keep everything looking good.” This is still drilled into my head from my old job at pep boys, but the coating did work pretty well. Never had one rust like this

Pros: good coating, prevents rust
Cons: more expensive

EBC Brake discs

  • Noise:

The stock front rotors have fairly significant heat spots and slight warping. I do mostly spirited street driving with some track use but obviously heat dissipation has been an issue, given how hefty the car is. Looking to upgrade the rotors and pads to more performance oriented options while hoping to keep the level of noise and dust relatively low.

Pros: performance oriented, low noise
Cons: heat spots, warping
Vehicle: Audi S5
Mileage: 30000 km

Detroit Axle Brake discs

Rating 1.0
  • Braking:
  • Noise:

I had the Detroit axel rotors on my fronts for a while and they were just a little too small and caused the pads to squeak after a while from uneven wear since part of the pad didn\u2019t hit the rotor due to it being a couple millimeters too small.

Pros: null
Cons: too small, caused squeaking
