DBA is fine as an upgrade, can highly recommend Stoptech as wel. If combined with PFC pads (not too agressive, I think .9 or .10/.11 compound) and new brake fluid + braided lines it feels so much better and safer.
Owner reviews for brake discs
Love the set up this is what I will be forced to do with my front 2 piece rotors in front will help with heat for sure and ceramic pads you will have zero issue's as all problems were cause by factory pads.
We are on our fifth weekend with our girodisc two piece rotors. Yes they are expensive, but they are worth it. They are so much better with heat management.
I like shitty Textar rotors because they’re cheap, consistent, and easy to come by.
I recently installed 345 and 310 from the mk5 R32 on mine, feels and looks much better.
Rear Rotors (Zimmerman) and Pads (Jurid) with break Sensor
I just did mine all around because the rotors looked like this. I put in Hella pagid rotors and pads.
I installed some new brakes and after looking at all the options I went with FCP’s bundle of Zimmerman drilled rotors and EBC red pads. I’m normally not a fan of drilled as my first set of drilled rotors back in 1996 warped and since then I’ve gone with just slotted. Since the mass is so great on the 345mm rotors I felt there would be enough mass to stay true/straight. FCP’s lifetime warranty helped seal the deal on these brakes.
I had the same with my GTI 2015 manual, I was braking less because I was using the engine brake a lot. At 8000 km I made a complaint at the dealer, they changed the discs, and suggested that I brake harder
the 325 rotors are tiny and have pitiful heat capacity
