Love my Honda civic cvt. So smooth. I make sure and stay on top of changing the transmission fluid. Cheap insurance.

I got a 2013 Altima... it’s at 170k miles and never had any mechanical issues. It’s all anecdotal but my experience was good
Honda cvts pretty reliable. My wife’s accord shifts so smooth compared to the 6 speed auto in my Tacoma.
I currently have a Ford Escape hybrid with a CVT and have zero complaints about it
I beat on mine. Its a fine car, but I wouldnt consider it a durable car in comparison to 90's/Early '00 Japanese cars that built their reputation. Maintenance is typical, if you get the CVT get it flushed every 40K mi.
My CVT just died on my 2013 versa, 5k+ replacement. My ODO was 140485. No other issues other than my suspension. I'm just gonna sell it as junk. I even asked them if I could get a CVT fluid change a while back but they said it was unnecessary (Future Nissan Folsom Dealership). Now I've got a dead car.
My 2016 Altima (purchased brand new) had the CVT transmission begin showing signs of degradation at 48,000 miles. And this was with a drain and fill at 30,000 miles. Thankfully the warranty covered a replacement.
The new ones with CVT's specifically (most specifically, the first ones that had CVT's) I've had consistent trouble with.
I had nothing but problems with my CVT transmission
Had a Rogue in the family that we got rid of. Don’t want to deal with the crap CVT. Love how they advertised them as sealed units that lasted the life of the vehicle without maintenance. You can hardly even get a shop to change transmission fluid on them. I dunno maybe they would last longer with regular fluid changes. After that rogue, I’m staying the hell away from Nissan. What a rattle trap full of issues.
