You can use either, but Delphi is OE.
Owner reviews for ignition coil
I use Delphi on my N20 which use the same coil as N52. No problem so far.
I'm running Bosch and have been for 45k miles with no issues, even tuned running extra boost which demands more of the ignition coils.
IF I can't find that product available, I can ALSO use the NGK 48977 U5084, and that's usually a few bucks less than the Denso.
I have Bosch in my 2015 currently with no issues for 30k miles so far
I'm running APR coils with ZFR5E-11 plugs. There was a noticeable smoothness when I fired it up after install.
I assumed it was bad and while it was sad to get rid of the OE Bosch, Autozone had a C831 coil that I was able to pick up. I think the boot was slightly too small but I’m 90% sure it’s making contact but I am still not getting it to arc.
Duralast is a hit or miss kinda deal. It’s equivalent to oem. The good thing about it is you can swap them out for new ones if it ever fails. The bad thing is they either fail in a very short period of time or last for a very long time there’s no in between.
I had these APR blue coils on for about 35-40k miles and they ran okayish. At idle my car ran a little rough and have tried different plugs with no change, then one day cylinder 2 started slowly losing power on the highway then just completely fell off the face of the earth when i pulled off. Let car take a break and went back to normal then exact same happened again. Speculated it was coils so swapped to oem and car has been running great 10k miles later. Overall like i said do not recommend whatever pixie dust is in these oem packs is just too good
APR’s snake oil, don’t do anything other than aesthetic. Also don’t fix whats not broken, OEM is far superior
