2016 1.4 T ran like brand new after changing to the APR coils. You could definitely feel the difference.
Owner reviews for ignition coil
I ran Apr coils for a little while. Was instantly more stable after I was running rough. I think it’s worth it even without a tune, and it’s more headroom to keep a tune stable as well. I didn’t notice power gains only that the rpm needle was sharper at being steady.
ive been using them in my old 4runner for a couple years now and have yet to have one fail. Think they have like 20k miles on them or something like that. Truck runs great.
Conselho: coloque bobinas originais Beru ou então Magneti Marelli. As demais bobinas pra K4M não são boas de acordo com todos os membros do Clube da Megane que precisaram fazer troca delas!
As per ignition coils, the only ones you should buy for N43/53 engines are Bosch. All the others (Delphi, Febi, HP etc.) are the same Chinese coil sold under different names, same issues as the counterfeit parts.
Delphi. I'm confident they're better than Bosch.
Coils: buy Bosch or Delphi coils. DO NOT BUY THEM OFF OF AMAZON. You would be better off leaving them then replacing them with an aftermarket brand.

They don’t look like OE plus they have Delphi stamped on them. I’m pretty sure Delphi is not an OEM for BMW. The tarnishing looks like rust which could be explained by the use of inferior materials.
About 2 months ago I had a cylinder 4 misfire while on the interstate so I pulled over got it towed and replaced all the ignition coils(duralast) and spark plugs. It fixed the problem and I went on my merry way. Well now today I am currently on the side on the road waiting for a tow truck and once again got the p0304 code(cylinder 4 misfire). When I replaced the coils last time the coil in Cylinder 4 looked like it had melted. I haven’t been able to look at it now but what could be the cause for that? Do I have an underlying issue somewhere else or did cheap parts just bite me in the ass like they always do?
