If you go to Autozone and open the box of their 2004-2005 coil pack, IF it has a "Denso" or "Made in Japan" sticker on the bottom, it's 100% OEM.
Owner reviews for ignition coil
Do not buy shitty eBay “performance” coils for a 1.4 touran. Just go to a motor factors and buy a reputable brand like Bosch.
I have NGK coils and plugs on my B14NEH. No issues at all.
Next time I'd just get the proper Hitachi coils and Denso/Ngk plugs. They don't even cost much more. The Fit is pretty sensitive about using proper plugs/coils.
Very dependable even with low boost, pretty simple and easy to work on. They are known to burn oil, and the coils fail pretty frequently, those are the worst problems I had with mine.
Get a Denso or NGK coil. You can try an auto parts store coil (do NOT get one from Amazon) and if it solves it, order the Denso or NGK.
I have a 2017 with the 2.0L. 102k miles. Got the Beck Arnley gen2 coils & Denso plugs gapped at 0.032 and have issues misfiring under load in 5th & 6th gear. Also happens more with the AC on. Otherwise it drives fine.
I bought a new Bosch coil from TT because the original in my '88 Scirocco 16V didn't have the exact readings the Bentley said it should have. The new coil didn't have the correct readings either according to the Bentley and it didn't make my Scirocco run better.
I just had the ignition coils blow on my ‘23 at just 29k miles. While out of state. It’s been a nightmare dealing with Kia customer service because the part was back ordered.
NGKs product quality has diminished but a brand new set of 6 in and 2 of the six aren't working after about 2 months
