I put 5100s on the back yesterday and it already feels a lot better - firmer, more controlled going over angled dips in the road (think of railway crossings or water bars etc), and I am surprised at the reduction in roll / wallow.
Owner reviews for shock absorbers
With my weight of only 60kgs medyo natigasan ako sa stock shocks so i upgraded it with the softer kyb v3 which me and a lot of ab users would agree the best aftermarket shocks for its price range.
I also love my bilstiens, mine are definitely more stiff for daily driving, but I prefer mine off road.
I have the Stage 2 Eibach kit so a little apples to oranges since I have the full coils but I have no regrets. Rides great, a little bit stiffer than stock but still very comfortable and that’s the norm with a lot of this level of after market shocks. Control is great at both slow and highway speeds. It’s for sure a sportier feel than stock but in a good way.
I did it on my 2009 Corolla standing at 130k km. The chap who installed it said that I’d need to replace those within a year. It has been four now and it is still working as it should.
This month, I installed Koni STR.T shocks... The handling is already way better than factory, just by adding more damping over the Euro Tuned shocks.
H&R sport springs 40mm, Bilstein B8s.
At the comp level you get Fox Rhythm 36 in the front and Float X in the back. Nice stuff for what most people will do with the bike.
Better than my trash rough country ones
“Upgraded” to Bilstein 4600s with 99’ springs not too long ago and they’re way too rough. You can feel just about every bump in the road and it’s extremely jarring and uncomfortable.
