With these cars, it\u2019s less so staying on top of the regular service items from the dealer - and more so staying educated on all the little unspoken chickenshit maintenance items that VW doesn\u2019t outwardly talk about.
Owner reviews for water pump
When I drove a Volvo I just did a belt and water pump every year. OE Aisin one every time.
Just tires, brakes, fluids, filters, TPMS sensors, water pump and a thermostat. If you couldnt see the odometer youd swear it had 30k miles on it but it has 180k
Aisin is what my shop used when mine started to die at 140k. No problems so far at 150k
I am budgeting in a water pump job too.
I own a tuned Audi, the only thing to go bad in it is the water pump which is a super common issue to the point Audi repaired it for free under extended warranty.
Mine (2020 SQ5 w/37k miles) failed this week :( picking it up tomorrow.
I smelled coolant on my 2019 Audi Q7 when it had 50,000 miles. Took it to the local Audi dealership. They swore up and down no issues. I kept a very close eye on the coolant levels. Slowly kept going down. Took it back two weeks later, and the water pump needed replaced.
My 2022 s4 water pump failure at 42000km. Lucky it was under warranty. This is probably the last Audi I will buy. The quality sucks.
I went with a aisin kit and at the 2 year mark the water pump went.
