Alternator Denso or OEM Mazda
Our 17 has 205,000km so far. Has been great. Have gone through 4 sets of rear brakes, maybe 2 front but it might only be one, had to recently replace the alternator.
I did my rebuilt denso alternator for $450. Oil changes for $20 ( my oil and filter $40 from walmart) just for comparison. this is on crv.
Denso remanufactured is solid I’ve had an alternator on my fzj-80 as well as a ac compressor both solid and that’s like 6 years ago
The lowest cost one I see worth buying at RockAuto is the wai global but for 344 you can get a new denso which would be the way I would go if you don't rebuild it yourself
The alternator is a Denso 210-1165, 150-amp unit.
With Toyota we normally will get reman denso alternators. Napa has the best stock in my area of the denso alternators
Alternator replaced last year with OEM Denso, 13.5V when car is running
Alternator went out a few days ago, replaced it with a remanufactured Denso from rockauto. It was a pain to install , now I'm getting code P0335 for crank position sensor. Car turns over and cranks but does not want to turn on .
As someone pointed out, don't expect the 150 dollar alternator to last that long. I threw on my 4runner a few months back because that's all that was in stock locally and I'm gonna have to replace it again, it's already whining. I'd definitely spend $350 or whatever it is on a denso unit
And try and go with the Denso. Some of those are Chinese sweatshop garbage.
