Brake discs Brembo or EBC
I switched to brembo xtra dics and pads and im very happy with them.
About a year ago I looked up on a lot of forums and decided to order the original blank face rotors from brembo and EBC red stuff pads front & back. Was about $600 to 700 with the brakes pads being the most money.
I have EBC rotors and Redstuff pads right now and am quite happy, but I had R1 and Powerstop previously.
Brakes done, rotors and pads, Brembo
I went with brembo quiet cast rotors from rock auto and EBC red stuff from a different website- although I did my crv’s rotor and pads ordered from rock auto and no issues
Did a set of EBC slotted rotors and RedStuff pads on our 7.5 GTI and it's changed how the car brakes entirely. It's got a real consistent bite without bleed off.
I had this when I fitted ebc discs on my Cupra. It's went on for a few hundred miles but then went away. I think it's something to do with the grooves. My thinking was they maybe had a little lip or something that eventually smoothed off.
I did EBC Premium rotors and yellow stuff pads and it was $1,800 at a shop.
I purchased the LS400 brake calipers brand new from the Lexus dealership. I used brand new aftermarket Brembo brand OEM spec brake rotors as well. When I picked the car up from them with the LS400 brakes installed, the front brakes squealed badly immediately.
Just run em’ after you grind it off. For a daily I would never run drilled. Noisy, water intrusion points, eat up pads, spider crack at the drill holes from water hitting a hot rotor, and you’ll be lucky to find a shop to turn them once they warp which is going to happen.
