I have bought my rotors and pads from rock auto for the past 10 years for all of our vehicles. I usually get the power stop brand from them and they have been good.
I always run Powerstop. They're great pricing and great brakes setup. All my vehicles has powerstop setup. I consider them great budget brake system over oem.
had them on my 05’ G35, loved them great customer service and warranty , one rotor warped I emailed them , they sent me a free set of rotors.
I run the power stop drilled and slotted rotors on my vehicles I have never had an issue with them wearing what I would consider prematurely.
Best brakes I ever had were Powerstop plain rotors and Brembo pads
My 2018 Mazda6 GT needed rotors and brakes at 47,000KM so 28K miles checks out. I put on power stops.
coated power stop rotors and their ceramic pads. have never had a problem with any power stop parts ever, the coating holds up well in my experience, and the pads feel just as good as anything else ive tried.
We had the first instance of warped rotors at 15k and the dealer resurfaced them under warranty. Then at 25k it sounded like a NYC subway train pulling into the station at slow stops. Returned to the dealer to be told that they wouldn't work on the brakes again without us replacing the pads and rotors on our dime. I believe the rotors were getting glazed. Decided to go with the PowerStop drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads, replaced them at home and we've been very happy for another 10k. Improved brake performance and as quiet as can be.
Thats not a VW problem, that a cheap/faulty brake rotor problem. The only car I ever owned that would not shake when braking hard over 70 mph was my 2014 cruze with fresh power stop rotors and pads.
I replaced mine with Power Stop rotors and pads at about 60k and noticed zero difference in braking after. They also only lasted 20k miles before the rotors started to warp. Just put OEMs back on. Absolutely not worth it.
