Brake pads Brembo or Carbotech
I had a set of the Carbotech fast road/track day pads in my AW11 before I had to scrap it and they were amazing.
I have Brembo brake pads for my Toyota Avalon. They definitely perform a bit better than regular,non-ceramic brake pads.
There are more choices now for aftermarket pads for the RS. The RS Brembo calipers use a distinct pad shape that isn't common. A lot of guys use Mountune, or EBC. Race Tech, the US Brembo Distributor, has TS20 (track/street) front and rear pads that have better performance and less dust that the stock pads.
I have Brembo front pads. Feel very OEM but with a modest decrease in brake dust.
But I will say the pads are great, they stop well, they never squeak...but man my iron-x budget is going fast.
If your just daily driving then OEM is fine, if you're looking for a slight upgrade then I recommend Carbotech 1521 Bobcat pads. I have the Carbotechs and they are nice.
When I had my mini cooper, I ran the 1521s on stock rotors and never had any issue in the rain.
I've got factory Brembo's on my 2014 Jeep GC SRT...it took some getting used to when driving as the brakes are very responsive!
Yes forgot to mention mine only started this when switching over to carbotech pads. Stock pads I never saw this issue.
I stepped up to Brembo pads on my A4 and they are nothing to write home about performance-wise. They also dust like no other pad I've used.
