Brake pads EBC or OEM Toyota
My 2011 Prius got to 250k on the original pads and rotors.
I have a 2016 Camry & made to 200K miles before I had to change the brake pads.
The brakes will give you signs of wear prior to needing to get them serviced or replaced. It also depends on how you drive. I’m at 81k on the original brakes right now and still have life left in them.
I have a 2021 Corolla and the stock pads are on 70k miles, I've never had a new car with the pads lasting this long. There is a a lot of material left and I'm definitely getting the exact OEMs for replacements.
Listen, try to change your brake pads and just to be sure, fill a new brake fluid and the problem likely will go away. But try pads first. I recommend using EBC DOUBLE H sintered pads
OEM pads made it ~62K on my '17 OR with a lot of towing. Rotors didnt have any wear.
I did several track days last year in my 2016 GTI with EBC blue stuff pads front and back. Really liked them. Stayed good for 20 and 30min sessions. Used fresh motul rbf600 fluid.
I have run the EBC RP-1s and currently am on the RP-X. The 1s were fine/no issues I just didnt like the lower Mu (less bite). These are a 1400+ deg F pad. I used them on street between track events without issue.
Because they are. Best thing to do is buy some EBC pads and better rotors. I don't know what color pads EBC to get. I'm planning to do my brakes as well soon and we'll start researching.
Be careful when buying brakes for the Stinger, if you buy anything cheaper than the originals you'll get a nasty judder within a couple thousand miles! I had to replace the disc and pads with EBC Yellow to get rid of it. The judder was awful.
