EBC Brake pads

Rating 4.5
  • Braking:

I have them on a 1600lb race car, so maybe not comparable to a Camaro that weighs twice as much. They're almost too much braking for me, but I kinda prefer it that way. I can lock the slicks at 100mph without fully standing on the pedal. But they're also very easy to modulate. They don't need to be bedded in like normal pads; you just stab them a few times. They don't fade. I've only had them for 1 season, but there's hardly any wear. It looks like they might last me 3 seasons, maybe more.

Pros: easy modulation, no fade
Cons: too much braking

I've ran 2 seasons in a 3300lb Golf R with SR21 fronts and SR11 rears and they've been insane, in my humble opinion. One front set lasted 10+ events, with street miles in-between, and the rears are still the same originals I slapped in 2 years ago. Zero fade, crazy long life, and no chunking/glazing/side effects I can think of. Ran DTCs in the past, and I'd snag these in a heartbeat over any other pad I've used or seen firsthand. The only complaints I have is they bite HARD. Since these work from ambient they will throw you through the dash in the paddock if you aren't careful ???? The plus to that is no real warm-up laps needed. Sintered also stands up to heat extremely well since there is no resin to break-down, which means I can run titanium shims without it baking the pads. Outside that, they throw off some weird non-ferrous silvery dust. Nothing like most race pads where it'll cake everything in the wheel well. It's almost like a bit of gravel dust after every event. Then the price, depending on your pad shape. They're a little under $100 more than most pads in my case, but the life of them more than makes up for it.

Pros: long life, zero fade
Cons: hard bite, silvery dust

EBC Brake pads

I used EBC blue stuff on my BRZ with factory brembos, and replaced the pads using FCP euro lifetime warranty. EBC blues would hold up for multiple track days with stock power on 200TW tires, and I didn’t experience fade at my skill level, usually intermediate at HDPE days.

Pros: long lasting, no fade
Vehicle: Subaru BRZ

EBC Brake pads

I have a dedicated track car but I use it to have fun. Therefore, I'm going to test out EBC Bluestuff NDX pads to start this season. I've also used PowerStop Track Day pads and they felt great.

Pros: felt great

EBC Brake pads

I did dot 4 fluid, braided lines, new solid rotors, and EBC yellows and couldn’t be happier. Brake fade was VERY much improved.

Pros: improved brake fade

EBC Brake pads

I've used EBC Yellowstuff and Intima race/track pads for the i30N from Australia...both were fine, but I liked the factory Hyundai pads better.

Pros: both were fine
Vehicle: Hyundai

I got the bluestuff pads for the front of my car and couldn’t find the bluestuff rears in stock anywhere so got another brand for there. From what I heard it’s a solid brand

Pros: solid brand

Those look a lot like EBC Greenstuff, I'm assuming a cheap copy - the EBC break-in coating on the front does work well and doesn't squeal but I work on the assumption that anything from Amazon is fake.

Pros: works well

EBC Brake pads

Because they are. Best thing to do is buy some EBC pads and better rotors. I don't know what color pads EBC to get. I'm planning to do my brakes as well soon and we'll start researching.

Cons: poor brakes
Vehicle: Subaru

EBC Brake pads

Be careful when buying brakes for the Stinger, if you buy anything cheaper than the originals you'll get a nasty judder within a couple thousand miles! I had to replace the disc and pads with EBC Yellow to get rid of it. The judder was awful.

Cons: nasty judder, awful
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 2000 km
