OEM BMW Brake pads

I got mine in November 2024 brand new. M Sport Pro in Carbon Black.

For starters, it is a pretty reliable car. I have done 13,000 kms in one year, plenty of road trips along with some being on steep mountains.

So far, it has given me 0 major issues.

Pros: handles extremely well
Cons: second row legroom
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 13000 km

I’ve got a 2019 with 110k km, have only had to change the brake pads outside of normal maintenance and that’s cause I drive it hard. Most reliable vehicle I’ve owned

Pros: most reliable vehicle
Cons: brake pads wear
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 110000 km

OEM FORD Brake pads

I paid $750 for it in 2007. It had a lunar odometer (north of 400,000) and the gas gauge stopped working so you had to write the mileage on a sticky note and slap it on the dash. The seat belts were *sawed off* and all the safety features deactivated. The brakes were high-dollar Brembos and I owned it for three years as a scrap hauler and fishing access get-to-er. I sold it for... $750. To a teenager. He probably still has it. 91-95 F-150 for life. Those things were TANKS and will survive the apocalypse, same with the Chevy 1500s of the day, especially the Silverados.

Pros: high-dollar Brembos, survived apocalypse
Cons: gas gauge stopped working, seat belts sawed off, safety features deactivated
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 400000 km

OEM BMW Brake pads

I live in Socal and bought mine from a dealer out of state. Get on bimmerpost and search, there are a few like Jeff Steele from Passport BMW or a finance manager at Camarillo. If you are hard on the brakes like I am looking at Ultimate care+ is worth it. I’ve used its twice already to replace pads and rotors

Pros: Ultimate care+ is worth it

OEM BMW Brake pads

2001 740i never had any issues with the throttle response but the brakes could be better. Too spongy and not as responsive as my 99 540i was.

Cons: spongy, not responsive
Vehicle: BMW
