Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM Toyota
Powerstop on my Durango RT. Never an issue and been great for years.
I've ended up with Power Stop on 3 Fords (Fusion, Escape, and Focus) and an Infiniti (Q50 3.0t AWD) and have been happy. Plus it's easy to just buy one kit and everything shows up together. I tend not to use their grease (I have a big tube of sil-glyde in the toolbox) and their retention springs for the rear calipers on the Escape didn't fit (this is not uncommon with other brands I've had on it as well). I've also had very good results with AKebono and used to swear by Wagner ThermoQuiet pads until I had trouble getting them a couple years ago and got the Power Stop parts.
Have the powerstop z36 on my gen 1. Next to non brake dust compared to the oem pads/rotors
One thing that I am surprised by are the brakes. They're still fine at 110k, and it's not like this 4,000lb beast has EV-levels of regen.
Power Stop pads and rotors on my Ram 1500 are the best setup I have ever had. Nearly zero dust and consistent braking.
I'm now at 120k miles. Still have over 4mm on both the front and rear pads, and the rotors look fine. So that's at least 50k miles I'll get out of a set of OEM brakes, but I expect more like 75k. 6 speed hatchback if it makes any difference.
I can't imagine a situation where I replace them with anything other than OEM Toyota parts. They've lasted an impressive amount of time, rarely squeak, and don't make any dust.
I used PowerStop (cross drilled) when I did my brakes two years ago. They seem pretty good.
I have Power Stop brakes on both my Miata (Z26) and my 3 (Z17). Been on for about 45k km on the 3 and 20k km on the Miata. Absolutely fantastic brakes... The Miata gets driven hard and the brakes have been flawless and powerful. The 3 is a daily driver and the brakes are better than OEM, but not to the point where they'd change the character of the car.
I switched to the Powerstop pads and rotors for the front. I haven\u2019t noticed much difference.
Damn i have a 2009 corolla doing uber eats in Los angeles. I change the fronts at like 20-30k they start squealing.
