Oil filter Mahle or Motorcraft
I maintain 4 6.7s, in f350 and f450. Motorcraft filters and full synthetic 5w40 are my choice. I send Blackstone oil samples periodically and change them at 8k. So far, Blackstone keeps telling me I can let the oil go longer.
Motorcraft oil filters are also known for being of great quality.
Purolator was the producer of our filters last time I checked. Motorcraft filters are surprisingly good considering how cheap they are. The bypass setup, filter media, housing and overall quality are higher than what you’d get at a fast lube place.
Motorcraft filters are made by Purolator. It's been my experience that Motorcraft filters work perfectly fine. I used Motorcraft oil as well until I switched to full synthetic.
Mahle is the way. Allegedly the OEM maker and after using them for a year they look and feel exactly the same.

The motorcraft filters I've seen for fords have the pressure relief at the end that screws on, top in most cases. Most others have it at the bottom. Since crud settles to the bottom if that relief opens with the relief at the bottom its gonna send that crud into the engine.
For my 2010 3.0L V6 Fusion I loaded up on the Havoline Pro-DS full synthetic 6quart eco boxes in the 0w20, 5w20, and 5w30 viscosities and always run a Motorcraft FL-500S filter.
My 315k mile powerstroke goes 7500 with no noticeable wear with motorcraft filters
Cap was really stuck when taking it off initially. Also required Some force to get back on. When I first just installed new filter I got yellow oil light, still not great. Also noticed oil coming from gap between ofh and cap. And a drip from the top socket end. So end conclusion, mahle oil filters suck
