Shock absorbers Bilstein or KONI
I installed a complete set of Bilstien HD shocks on my EV this weekend. All I can say is wow, they transformed the ride! The old OEM shocks were shot, all four had zero rebound.
When I first got my caddy I lifted it with cabriolet springs and bilstein hd shocks... With 17" wheels I had over 12" of clearance
i have H&R sports and koni oranges on my mk4 jetta vr6 and i love the way my car drives
I have had the H&R OE Sport/Koni Yellow combo on my '03 GLI for almost a year now. I think it is the perfect setup for a daily driver.
I'm on H&R Sport / Koni yellows myself, and it is a definite improvement.
Bilsteins will make for a stiffer feeling ride, while having performance oriented valving and will last forever.
Bilstein Left, Airlift right for MK6. Like I said before, they both have the same drop on my car. I just gained about 3 inches of lift with the Bilstein's, thus making my ride height WAY more comfortable.
I like the ride of Bilstein HDs on stock springs. They're stiffer, but in no way uncomfortable.
The Aero springs lowered my Arc about 0.5"F/0.6"R on the Bilstein HD's. The Aero springs, Bilstein HD's, and uprated Moog front swaybar end links made a huge difference on my car.
Right now I have progress springs with bilstein shocks and struts. I've had the setup for a couple of years and i'm getting tired of the rough ride.
