I took the plunge and installed FSDs a couple weeks ago. I currently have them paired with Neuspeed sports which look progressive (which seems to scare most people away) but are linear once installed (dead coils compress leaving the rest at a linear rate and no feeling of a rate change while cornering). I only have 300-400 miles on them, and I am not a suspension guru, but here’s my initial input. Also, this is with the stock all season tires and without an alignment (yet): The bumps on city streets with this combo are "dulled" but definitely still there. This combo is a bit more comfortable than stock but I wouldn’t say it’s radically different comfort-wise; however, it is also ~1.25” lower and with a higher spring rate. General handling around town and “spirited driving” is improved with less movement all around. You get a more planted / hunkered down feeling. When pushed hard, the float/unsettledness is reduced but definitely still present, for example at higher speed mid-corner bumps.

Pros: more planted feeling
Cons: float still present
Mileage: 400 km

I've also put koni fsd on my wife's x5 and added the factory sport springs which are firmer but not lower. The handling is marginally better and the ride is a little smoother than stock.

Pros: smoother ride
Cons: handling marginally better

The rear Boge Red shocks were shot, so I put in Koni Yellow Sports to match what is in the front and replaced bushings with AUTOTECH Polyurethane; kept NEUSPEED Sport Springs

Pros: Koni Yellow Sports

I had the FSD/Eibach setup on my MK5 and loved it. The FSD is a great option for those who dont want to be jolted around constantly but a super stiff suspension but still want it stiff in the corners.on highway and around town it was similar to stock but once I took a good corner it stuck it real well.

Pros: stiff in the corners
Cons: not super stiff suspension

Santa brought me a pair of Koni yellow adjustable shocks. I already have VWR springs and a 24mm RSB. My goal with the shocks was to help the transient response at the rear of the car. This past weekend, I was able to find the time to put them on the car. I can definitely feel the difference.

Pros: feel the difference
