Tires BRIDGESTONE or Nokia
I use OPD on my Bolt EUV 2023 and it works wonderfully so far. We've had tons of snow and all sorts of crappy road conditions lately in Southern Quebec (I live in the country, not the city), so I have a pretty good sampling. Reminds me when I had a manual transmission.
Blizzak ws90
the best Snow tires on the market are Blizzak they stick to anything. Although they only are good for 5000 miles on dry roads
Get snow tires. Bridgestone blizzak are amazing. All season tires are not.
If you end up deciding you want to get into it, first priority has to be brakes, followed by tires. Both will start to wear much faster and become a safety issue as you progress. For brakes, pads and fluids at minimum, and good to do discs too for most cars, and for tires, something that's dedicated (Hankook RS4, Kumho V730, Bridgestone RE71RS for example) and not just a good street summer tire like a PS4S
Ours is a tank. Running on Nokian R5s and compared to my old RS5 with winters, it’s as good as the Audi.
My wife's Prius is awesome in the snow. Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 tires. Glad to hear you are going that route, just be aware there are different models of blizzak tires.
I have Nokian Hakkapellita R5s on my winter-driven sports car and they are way too squishy and comfort-focussed.
I had a pair of Nokian one with the exact same problem. Won’t buy Nokian again
For reference, crappy and expensive Bridgestone Alenzas (summer tires) were put on mine (21 inch)
