Tires Falken or Continental
Used them for many years commuting in London. Normally loads of rubbish/glass/oil on the road etc and were fine.
2000 miles on them so far. No punctures yet and I ride through terrible roads and potholes. I have noticed the back tire being slippery on wet roads like people mentioned but I don't ride in the wet.
These are bomb proof tires. the sidewalls are substantial and the tread is solid. However, they are "sluggish" in that these are not particularly lively tires. On my faster road bike, they dramatically killed the responsive feel of the bike.
We have run Falken Wildpeaks for many years now..we're on our fifth set. They have given us hundreds of thousands of miles on all kinds of roads, and all kinds of weather.
Just curious how people feel about a stock Tiguan with wildpeak A/T. They were definitely worth it, took it to Montana from FL with no noticeable wear on the tread. I live in area prone to flooding and it's all dirt roads so it gets pretty mucky but this thing drives through no problems. Also handles really well in the rain with the wild peaks.
Very good all-around tire. Good in light-med snow, wet grass, dirt, etc. Some noise on the highway, but you'll get that with any AT.
Decided to try out Falken Wildpeaks after the Grabbers, which are also great.
Just upgraded from the stock Toyos to the Continental DWS06+, first time I’ve went for some premium tires and the difference is night and day. The way you feel planted to the ground is next level compared to stock, even more so in the rain.
Trust me... okay... I know way too much about tires... my close friend is the owner of Wheel wiz... go for the Viking Contact 7... the only disadvantage is slightly slower braking on wet/dry/ice.... bad ice will take out literally any car... which means what? It's a driver's judgment error, or you should have avoided driving that day altogether. The continental tire is considerably quieter. it has the vibration and shaking. It will last longer. And when you're in SNOW it's actually much better than Blizzaks you will have the actual best lateral G control/turn-in out of any tire. You will have the best acceleration in any tire which translates to better fuel economy and being able to get out of the way of a slow-moving sliding vehicle faster in a sudden emergency maneuver getting movement going FAST can save the day. They really perform well in snow and they will be less expensive... just get continentals trust me and thank me later. much more enjoyable drive
Not a fan of the OEM Continentals on my 2019 here in Western PA. Will switch to Vredesteins Quatrac Pro. I was pleased with them on the Tiguan and the wife\u2019s Volvo in winter driving and all around.
Falken Eurowinter tires are crap...
Had a new set on one of my old URS6's...they had about the same traction as a good all season. My half worn Pirelli Sottozero's were superior in every way.
