PS4s are incredible. They make any car they are on feel 800lbs lighter and handling nimbleness seems to come with.
On my daily car (e39 BMW) I use Michelin CrossClimate tires, because it doesn't get realy hot or really snowy here (North-Western Europe). As for all seasons, they are considered pretty good.
But I put some pilot sport 4s on the sti for the first time this year and... What can you say, it's a completely different car. For handling, it shares absolutely nothing in common with the same car on economy tires.
I like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. It's a well-rounded performance tire. Track ready, great handling wet and dry, comfortable on the road, 30k mi treadlife.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+'s, MUCH better than the Falkens that came with the car.
I bought the CrossClimate 2’s for my 2018 last year , we had 18” of unplowed snow and didn’t miss a beat. I tried to get stuck and couldn’t. They’ve been excellent in the rain. The few people that have driven my car always compliment the way it handles.
I bought the cross climate 2's for my wife's mazda cx-5. They are amazing tires so far, she loves the traction with the provide. They grip really well in heavy rainfall and xant wait to see them perform in the winter.
I'm running a 225/45/18 on an 8.5 wide 18, tires are Michelin PS4, and there is a significant upgrade in comfort and smoothness.
BTW PS4S are expensive as hell right now!!
Went from Toyo all-seasons to Bridgestone RE-71Rs. It was... absurd.
Now my car has Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 on them and they're... so disappointing. My friends all comment on how well my car grips but after experiencing what is essentially road-legal racing slicks I just find myself a bit disgusted with how easily these break traction.
