Tires MICHELIN or BFGoodrich
I have the Michellin Defender LTX. Good grip, but definitely a better tire than my west lakes I had before.
I just traded in those Accords this month for '22 Sport 2.0T's that came stock with Michelin Primacy MXM4. Night and day difference on the road noise and it absolutely gives it a more comfortable ride.
I feel like a broken record with this one, but I highly recommend the Michelin PS4S or PS4AS. They made my accord feel a whole lot more connected to the road, and the All Seasons handle Wisconsin winters just fine.
If you can afford it, Michelin is worth it in the long run. They’re the only tire I know that lasts longer than the warranty period based on Consumer Reports.
I was going to replace with the same tire but decided to try the Michelin AS4. I would observe the following :
Dry grip - Michelin is better feel and grip around corners
Wet grip - not scientific but think the DWS is marginally better
Road feel / noise / ride quality - I like the Michelins slightly better
Those BFG comp-2 are pretty decent also I used to run em on my 04 RSX Type-S and they would stick to the road fairly good
This year has been crazy, I’m into three sets of Michelins 2xPS4S on the 981 and 911 plus a set of PSS on the BMW
Selling the SS was a god send for this. It ate a set of PS4S's every 3 months. 16 tires went to it every year, then the Lotus took a set, so before the E38, that was 20 tires a year.
I ran some KM3 in the Cascades for a few months before they got really slashed up on sharp rocks and punctured, then 3 years on one set of KO2 without trouble.
I personally don't like Michelin tires. The rubber just feels cheap.
