Tires MICHELIN or Nokia
Michelin alpins. Like sticky stuff to a blanket
Michelin x ice for all cars imo. Michelin is the only brand I have 1000% trust in
Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 for studless and Hakkapeliitta 10s for studded are hands down the best snow tires I've driven on and got to test them on 3 different vehicles. They let us test 4 of the leading competitors tires and the Nokian Hakkapeliitta out performed by far
I recommend Michelin Cross Climates or Toyo Celsius.
Do you see that 6 and 4 stamped into the tread. Nokians are cool, they are telling you the tires have 60% tread or better.
pilot sport series tires are the truth. i put them on a regular golf and it was insane the difference they made.
Run flats suck if you care about performance but if you absolutely have to have them and want an all season tire the Michelin pilot 4 all seasons are decent.
I had Nokian WR-G2s. I had such great confidence in my Nokians on 18s. Only stuck once due to clearance but it was also a hill and just bad scenario but that was over 8 years.
Michelin CrossClimates are great tires for who live in this quasi-continental climate that swings between humid summers, icy winters, slushy transitions, and unpredictable snow. Not the most comfortable tire but they’re overall solid
I’m on the defenders and I hate the road noise when it rains. It makes a shepherd’s tone when I accelerate.
