Tires MICHELIN or Toyo
It's now been a full year with mine. Loved them in the winter. Loved them in the summer.
Michelins defender platinum.
Never look back. Quieeeeet and long lasting. Great rain performance.
Have about 5k on the Michelins after 55K on General Grabbers. As far as quiet goes, the Michelins are definitely quieter (and I think smoother) than the Generals.
I had defenders on my old truck and they last forever.
I drive heavy snow in the winter and logging roads in the summer. I found the stock Michelins hold up really well, and are extremely quiet without slipping in dirt or snow. The tires just don't look like they should work as well as they do.
I run these to get to ski resorts from denver on cold ass winter mornings. Good tire
We’re on 2nd set of the cross climates on an XC90. Only downside is they are a little noisy. Soooo much better than OEM tires…
Only thing that’s been on our Polestar 2 since the day we bought it back in 2022. Just put second set on after 60k miles, so I can vouch for the tread wear rating.
I’ve noticed some unusual wear on the inner edges of my front tires (Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s, ~3 years old), and the rubber feels rough to the touch - like they're chewed up a bit.
My old pilot sport 5s tires were downright dangerous even with light snow. Forget about ice entirely. They are too expensive and wear too quickly for the 1% of time they are truly useful.
