Reviews of spare parts for Audi
Mine came with ContiProContact rubber. I ran them at 34-35 psi instead of 37, on a stock suspension. A quiet, and compliant tire. Good for general street use and on the highway. They also worked well in the snow, to my surprise.
An old Audi belt motor goes 240k and the belt is still holding. I had a 2013 A4 2.0 that stretched the ~~belt~~ chain* at 70k and the valves kissed the pistons.
Found EBC Yellow stuffs for the TTRS calipers for $140 (I've found EBC yellow stuffs a good compromise semi-squeal daily drive and decent on the track)
Front brake pads Front shocks (kyb gr2)
Replaced my fans, and the fuse box/tray so far so good.
Michelin is better than Pirelli IMHO. I've had Michelin PSS tires on my Audi and they are great performers.
Castro 10- 60 Audi uses it in R8 GT which is NA and not subject to extra thermal loaf of TC. Live in South Florida so cold starts not an issue and Sebring in August is HOT. Also run 50 % VP 103 in summer to cool things a bit and reduce prevent timing loss.
I have installed Porsche calipers 996.352.425/6 calipers on the front of my MK1 TT with stock sized 12.3" discs with Hawk HPS pads and SS lines.
I run Conti DWSes on my A3 and I think they're abysmal with anything more than an inch of slush on the roads. More than that, once the temps get below 40 I can definitely sense them losing their grip. I haven't been overly thrilled with the Contis and don't think I'll buy them again.
