Never had the Dunlops, but I had the AS/3 on my old Avant. They were fantastic. Not a peep of tire noise and hardly any howl in corners compared to the OE Pirelli P6.
Reviews of spare parts for Audi
They replaced everything brakewise, pads/discs/calipers/.. and everything on charge of Audi ofc.
replaced it with a Bosch water pump and that thing is still going strong. Great warranty, too
I would put money that its the Rotors. Particularly the passenger side. The last time I swapped my passenger rotor was .040 off in one direction, and drivers side was .002 in one direction .003 in the other.
I've been running slotted and cross-drilled rotors on my A4 for 5 years. I've never had one crack, but I don't autocross. For my latest set I looked for drilled, but not slotted, rotors because my last set buffeted at high-speed braking, which feels shaky and unstable, and I read that was because of the slots.
Run EBC red and be happy. Much better than Hawk HPS (or even HP+ for certain use), and not comparable to the Akebonos because those (Akebono) are really low dust pads with no bite for a heavy and sporty car like the TT.
run redstuff with powerslot slotted rotors never have had a problem will be upgrading to a BBK soon though
I run EBC redstuff and Ultimax rotors on my TT and really like the stopping power. Have run the pads for over year in both street and track and the rotors for 2 years of both street and track without issues. My CC run greenstuff and although the stopping power is great, they have way too much dust for my taste.
Once I removed the thermostat, I felt in the port and although the impeller felt ok, it spun freely; not smooth like a bearing but rough like it was dragging. Since I was able to freely turn the impeller through the thermostat hole, I have to assume my water pump is failed.
Confirmed: Orange RainX is the problem I called Rainex and after negotiating the maze that is their company phone system, I spoke to someone who seemed to know all about the problem. She said they were reformulating the product to avoid this going forwards. According to them, the sensor is not damaged by the orange Rainx but rather the sensor is "blocked" by the orange deposit.
