Full ATE PowerDisc and Ceramic pad brake overhaul done today - I’ve run these discs & pads a few times now on previous E39s inc. both my Jap import E39s and they’re superb.

hey u/op ... if its not too late..\n\ndont drain the oil the normal way! the paint would be carried through the oil passages and possibly hardening in them.\n\nsince they poured/sprayed the paint through the opening, its all in that area.
Replaced my 118d wipers with Bosch ones few weeks ago. The Bosch packaging should have a list of all compatible cars on the back.
I've run LiquiMoly 5W-30 with the correct BMW engine ratings for over a decade now. Regular changes every 5k miles or 12 months and runs smooth as butter.
In my 323i with the 2.5L N52 engine, I use Castrol Edge 5w40 with the appropriate LL specification. Oil consumption is 3000 km per liter, with 190,000 km on the clock.
3.0 n52 when I got the car it had 5w-30 and the oil was leaking slightly. Changed 5w-40 and the leak stopped all together. Engine is smooth as butter
This piston came out of my N52b30 with around 220000 km. It was kept pristine, ran it on thrice the volume of oil additives as per the forums recommend, along with 30/70 racing coolant additive to HOAT+ approved coolant. The car was being driven moderately hard, and not on smooth roads.
Buy a new valve cover. If it isn't cracked now, it will be soon, and/or the PCV diaphragm will fail.
On my G80 M3, Michelins were lasting about 10-12k miles
On my X5M -- Michelins last 10k miles tops.
Bad quality plastic. Mine are same on the inside, it looks like a million tiny cracks. I'd say it's due to age and wear.
