I went through 3 windshields before they agreed to pay for OEM because the HUD was blurry or to high or never would get level. Once we got an OEM it was perfect.

So I followed their direction and jumped on the old interwebs to my retailer of choice, RockAuto, and ordered Bosch pads and rotors front and back. So I had nothing planned for the weekend figured I would do a little wrenching. Take the wheels off and start to unbolt the caliper, looked down and my rear pads still show about half life. Maybe they just meant the fronts, pop the wheel and they are showing even less wear. My question is it normal for the CX-5 to go 80000 miles on the original pads? I didn't think I drove like my grandmother but it is 70% highway/non city driving. For anyone that does your own maintenance the cost for 4 rotors and pads was less than $200 (Raybestos Element 3 rotors and Bosch Quiet Cast ceramic pads). It really a fairly easy job, and would not take more than 30 minutes per wheel.
Late last year Toyo had a special running at my local Firestone store. My company told me how much I could spend. With the special I could afford tires I wouldn't have even looked at before. I tell you what. My little CX5 rode as good if not better than my Large Acura MDX. It's so smooth and quiet it threw me off the first long trip I took. I've had them for 5 months/25k miles and they feel as good now as they did when I bought them.
I went Koyo. For me even with a stock engine its worth it not to have a plastic seam to worry about.
So I have the very first year of the 2.0L Skyactiv engine in my Mazda 3 (2012). I have only used Mobile 1 alongside Mobil 1 filters. Truth is these engines are pretty solid.
No issues at 150k on my 6. I do not worry but do run pea type injector cleaner every 3-5k and use quality oil that helps prevent off gas issues like Mobil 1 and Valvoline
Upgrade those headlights to e-codes. Keeps the OEM look and the beam pattern is way nicer and you can see way more on the road. I have hella brand ones and it is quite literally night and day.

The timing chain is a common fail point in these engines as it can stretch over time and destroy the engine.
the stock battery only lasted 3 years. My VW prior lasted 7 on the OEM battery.
