Mobil Oil filter
4.OMG
Rating 4.5
  • Warning light:

I ran Mobil 1 filters on my '05 Xterra because I picked up several M1 oil change specials at one of the parts stores and found the truck sounded better at idle so I kept using them.

Pros: sounded better at idle
Vehicle: Nissan

Bendix Brake pads
dustinr26
Rating 5.0
  • Braking:
  • Noise:

I just did my Rotors and brakes on my 2nd Gen 2005 and used Bendix Rotors PRT5716 for rears and PRT5675 for front. As for pads I used their Premium Copper free CFC1100 and it major difference in stopping feels like its brand new again. Also pads I did before I hated they were Wagner Ceramic Thermo quiet pads and they squeaked non stop min put them in it drove me nuts I got money use out of them and used them till I couldn't take squeaking anymore LOL

Pros: major difference in stopping
Cons: Wagner pads squeaked nonstop
Vehicle: Nissan
Part number: CFC1100

MICHELIN Tires

I just replaced my Michelin Premiere LTX on my 2012 Murano a few thousand miles ago or so.

In my opinion, they were great performing tires. My experience has been completely different than the other poster who said they were poor in cornering and quick maneuvers. I drive windy mountain roads in Appalachia all the time, and they did great in the corners. It might have to do with my tires having not much sidewall (P235/55R20), though.

They were excellent in the rain, even in standing water. I'd crank through fairly deep puddles and it wouldn't even as much as pull. Great hydroplaning resistance.

Snow.. they were about as good as you can really expect without a winter-rated tire. They did get me through weekly 400 miles trips from North Central WV to Northern Virginia every week last winter, without any worries.

Pros: great performing tires, excellent in rain
Cons: 42k miles before replacement
Vehicle: Nissan Murano
Mileage: 42000 km

OEM Nissan Glow plug
tehAndy
Rating 5.0
  • Cold start:

Then it was time for an oil change and new air filter, and new glow plugs. All of that stuff was easily sourced on either amazon or RockAuto.

Pros: easily sourced

OEM Nissan Tires

I've had a Leaf for over a year now

>How are the charging stations across the city?

I've not had to use many charging stations, but there are quite a few around. Rideau Centre, IKEA, others that can be easily found in the Flo/PlugShare App.

>How does it last during rush hour(s)? (I’m particularly stuck on Hunt Club in the mornings/evenings)

Pretty fantastic, very little energy is used when stopped.

>How does it do during the worst of our Ottawa winters? (Assuming winter tires is a must)

It can get bad with the range

Pros: saving around 100$ per 1000km
Cons: range can get bad
Vehicle: Nissan Leaf

Continental Tires
BackInTheBox62
Rating 4.0
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:

I installed 235f and 255r for a wider look. Continental extreme contact dsw. SL sidewall load range so not as solid as XL. I had to put more air in \~38lbs because they were mushy in curves but now seem fine. I trust them more in the rain than I would high performance tires.

Pros: trust them in rain
Cons: mushy in curves
Vehicle: Nissan

OEM Nissan Transfer case
gfunkith
Rating 3.0
  • Noise:
  • Leaks:

I had the CVT replaced back in 2014 while under the warranty. Later in the year I noticed what I would describe as a faint humming noise that would come and go. Turns out the noise was coming from the transfer case. It now has a slight leak and with a noise that cannot be ignored.

Pros: drives really well
Cons: slight leak, humming noise
Vehicle: Nissan Murano
Mileage: 89000 km

Raybestos Brake pads

Just replaced rear brakes on my ‘15 rogue with Raybestos E3 pads. I really had to force the pad into the new hardware clips. I did a quick google search and his seems to be an issue with E3 brake hardware. The original brake pads were also really tough to remove before I put the new ones in.

Pros: null
Cons: difficult installation
Vehicle: Nissan

Koyo Engine radiator

The problem I'm running in to is that the upper hose connection is positioned differently on the Koyo N-Flow/dual pass(RH020539N) and it's really close to the Q45 throttle body and attached TPS. I've already cut off the unused socket on the TPS which gives me more room but still not a ton to work with.

Cons: tight hose connection, poor fitment
Vehicle: Nissan
Part number: RH020539N
