OEM Subaru Brake discs

I put larger diameter front rotors, dual piston calipers, caliper bracket, better pads and the properly re-sized master cylinder on an Impreza and had much better dry stopping with no ABS problems.

Pros: better dry stopping
Vehicle: Subaru Impreza

FWIW, the red stuff that Ford puts in at the dealership works incredibly well, much better than the blue stuff from the part store.

Pros: works incredibly well
Cons: better than blue stuff

NGK Spark plug

If you live some where hot, have a tune, or are hard on the car I would do one colder and get the 2309 instead of the stock 7913.

Pros: good for hot climate
Vehicle: Subaru
Part number: 2309

NGK Spark plug

Any correct sized , heat range and gapped NGK plug will work fine but some will need to be changed more often. BKR6EIX for example is a good choice, it is iridium tipped and not expensive.

Pros: iridium tipped, good choice
Cons: changed more often
Vehicle: Subaru Outback
Part number: BKR6EIX

NGK Spark plug

Rating 4.0
  • Starting:

Always stick with NGK. However, NGK has different lines from copper, to platinum, and iridium. Iridium is more expensive, but will last longer. Given they're a bit of a PITA to replace, I'd go with these. I've run them in my 2004 WRX the last 8 years.

Pros: iridium lasts longer
Cons: iridium more expensive
Vehicle: Subaru

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I have them on my Crosstrek. Love them, but I'm hindsight I wouldn't went with ko2s because of handling in heavy snow

Pros: love them
Cons: handling in heavy snow
Vehicle: Subaru

Mobil Engine oil

Make sure you don't run Mobil 1. Subaru engines tend to shear Mobil 1 down to a lower weight oil quickly.

Cons: oil shears quickly
Vehicle: Subaru
