I just replaced mine a couple months ago with a Godspeed Aluminum Radiator off amazon for about $175. Installation is pretty straight forward; disconnect the hoses, disconnect the electrics for the fans, and remove the radiator and put the new one in and reconnect everything.
Reviews of spare parts for Subaru Legacy
The cheapest tires I trust are Kumho.
It's an '09 2.5 Special Edition auto. Likes: Fairly \"sporty\" feeling. Lots of features for what it's costing me. decent stereo. Cons: weak engine. drivers seat doesn't go back far enough. armrest is awful. fuel economy sucks for a car this size. crappy stock tires.
For the rotors I went with Brembos they were like $120 pair of fronts and the rear I had OEM rear drums they were $150 a pair. I got a pair of Axxis Organic pads like $49 a pair.
Subarus in general are frickin' bulletproof. (WRX transmissions aside) I drove a Subaru Legacy 30th Anniversary Edition (2.5 liter, automatic...I think it's pretty similar to the '97 Legacy GT) and it was a surprisingly good drive...good handling and pretty good power...brakes were a bit sucky, though.
IMHO, the brakes are also awful.
