Another happy Mann filter and Liqui Moly oil user. I currently use 0w40 because I’m in the frozen north, but used 5w40 previously.
Reviews of spare parts for Volkswagen
I run Castrol 5w40 in all my VWs. 2.0, 1,8T, and my mk7 2.0T all have used it and I've been happy with it.
refresh brakes with Hawk HPS 5.0 and restore look of the calipers
I’ve dailied Redstuffs for 4 years now with no problem. They bite well, they don’t squeal, and they don’t make much dust.
No complaints about excessive dust, noise, or harshness - great pad upgrade with no glaring downside IMO.
I replaced my OEMs with Hawk HPS 5.0s. Very similar feel to the stock pads without that initial hard bite. Less dust as well.
My 1.8t is currently filled with Rotella T6 and I swear its eating less oil now (or maybe I'm getting better with my heavy foot)
Been there, done that: 205/55-16 summer tires (Conti ExtremeContact DW) on steel wheels It was alright, sidewalls were a bit soft. Great for city driving, like Toronto, or better yet, Montreal, roads there are just terrible.
Installed a new Bosch voltage regulator (VR) on the fire wall and had the following problem: the 61 terminal does not have ground so the warning lite does not go on. Also there is battery voltage at the D+ terminal and causing the generator to get hot. I just installed another new VR and have the same problem.
The falkens that my car came with (2018 Alltrack S) were extremely disappointing. The tires were bald at 20k miles.
