Jaocobpossibly, great post and information. I was able to use your information and links to figure out what to do about my flywheel clutch on my AZG! Well, sort of anyway...now, at least I know that I too have a 215mm set up. My flywheel is an 068105271, and I have been unable to find one, or any information on it. I finally found out that it was replaced by 038105269 in 2006, so that explains it. I've been searching for clutch options for this for a while, and now I at least know what will be an oem style replacement. I also have a single mass flywheel in my 2001 wagon 2.0. Thanks for posting that information!!!

The Osram headlights are better than “normal“ aftermarket ones, not as good as OEM Xenon, but still realy good. My buddy had for his MK6 aftermarket GTI Headlights, at night they were pretty bad, than he ordered the osram, and the difference is huge compared to the ****ty aftermarket crap.
My next step is to switch the oil to Motul 8100 X-Cess (this is what I used in the past before moving to Ottawa).
I am running X Ice3 on the stock Austin wheels for the second winter now and have had no problems in Western PA. We don't get much snow per se, but the car feels confident in snow and ice, in particular stopping and turning.
I put on a full set of Michelin XIce3 P205/55R16 with steel rims just before the first big snow hit and I'm glad I did. There's nothing like having a proper set of winter tires.
Once Old Man Winter came knocking, I found a set of 18” Talladega take-offs from a ‘13 Golf R locally on Craigslist and fitted with Michelin Alpin PA4 (225/40/18). Dry and wet winter handling is fantastic - feels like spring or fall.
On my way to work I had the wipers on at low speed. When I came to a stop light the engine stopped and the wipers switched to intermittent automatically. When the engine re-started, they went back to low speed.
The KYBs that I put in 12 years ago are ugly, but equal to each other and a bit stiffer than the new Bilsteins. The fitment of the new shocks looks nearly identical and the eyelets fit my hardware.
Thursday was not a good day for one of my Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 tires. On the way to work a pothole got my front right side tire...When I got home I notice a nick in the rim, but not the damage to the tire...Called Tirerack, since I have the road hazard coverage and filed a claim.
A few years back I looked at a CPO 2009 GTI - had Sunny tires on it. Besides the rest of the car being beat to snot and smelling terrible, the tires were horrible. I didn't look at what was on the car until after the test drive. I couldn't believe it was a CPO.
