+1 on PSS. Best all around tire with a perfect blend of dry and wet grip, turn in response, longevity, road noise, etc. I'm going to be grabbing my second set in a few days after getting 22,000 miles on my first.
I had Safelite do replacements on my car as well as my husband's car. Of course the insurance wouldn't cover OEM (had eSurance at the time) but I heard that the aftermarket glass that Safelite uses on these cars (Pilkington I think but spelling could be wrong) is an OEM supplier for a lot of German brands. It's been a few years now and both cars aren't showing any issues with the replacement glass. We both have '11 Golf TDIs. FWIW, the replacement glass on our cars also had the tint strip along the top and mirror area in the same place as the OEM glass, you really can't tell the difference unless you look at the manufacturer's stamp.
Have General Altamax Arctic ready to go on them, these tires are great for the price.
Hi, I've done a similar upgrade on my Golf MK2 back in 2012 using 280mm front disks from a Golf mk3 GTI and Audi S3 calipers.
I did swap in Denso IKH24 at APR recommendation. Runs nice and have no issues to share

With regard to our marvelous New England weather (CT) in the winter- It's either going to be (Bridgestone)Blizzacks, (Nokian) Hakkapeliittas, or (Gislaved) NordFrosts. All on my stock wheels. I used to be a huge Goodyear and Continental Fan. Things changed. Getting older with two in college I sharpen my pencils often to get the absolute best while keeping as much $ in my pocket.
Agree with everybody on here, change your battery - I had similar problems and others not mentioned, changed the battery and almost all problems disappeared.
You probably need regulator part number 1 197 311 022, EL 14V 4C OR on eBay or Amazon Transpo part number IB354. They are $55-65 at Autozone and $14-18 online.
I have owned my B6 since new and had the thermostat replaced under Warranty around 36,000 miles, at that point the slow warm up was causing the MIL to illuminate with a error that basically said warm up outside specification.
No it will NOT work with the current pump....the R32 pump will burn out as the fuel pump controller pulses the pump which burns out the brushes.
